It's been My experience that to be a good Master you have to realize that submission is a gift to be treasured, the happiness and welfare of your sub must be as important to you as your own since by submitting to you those are with what they have entrusted you. Always be prepared to listen as well as speak, to learn as well as teach, and to strive to be worthy of the trust they have given you. Beyond that it's just a matter of technique and there is a lot of material available to help you with that.
