I joined this forum today so that I could expand on my knowledge. It seems there is much to learn here. As I have some time on my hands this summer, here I find myself.

Am in real life relationship w/ my best friend in the world. He and I share many aspects of D/s lifestyle and I am encouraged to connect with others to share experiences, gain knowledge and to grow as a person. I hope this helps!

well thats a good question. i have been reading the stories for a while, just recently went into chat but didnt know what to say lol.
i would just like to talk to other people who enjoy the things i enjoy and mabey get a better understanding of who i am.

Well I joined due to having enjoyed lots of the stories here and wanted to learn from and perhaps share some thoughts of mine in this environment.
This was my first post here and I can pretty much guarantee that I will post more. Forums are a great way to share your thoughts and insights in many aspects of life.

I have been curious about about submission for a while. I found your site and started reading the stories. I joined the forum not too long ago. I am learning more about BDSM. My husband likes being dominate. We bought a house in the country last year about the same time as the last child at home moved out into his own apartment. Wow it was like being newly weds all over again, even though this is the second marriage for each of us. We live far enough out that I don't worry about anyone seeing us naked, the house is designed for minimal coverings on the windows. We do have fun switching from vanilla and then back. I am getting a better picture of what is normal for one couple is not enough for another couple, in other words there are no set rules for each couple. Thank you for helping me to learn and enjoy more about BDSM.

Why did I join?

That is simple but yet involved.
First to learn, no matter how skilled and knowledgeable you are there is always more to learn. Knowledge is power and a very valuable coin.

Second to teach, after having well over 35 years as Dom I have some things to share. Those of you that have visited our site (speciallovenetwork) already know that I want a safer less fantasy source for the life.

Third to meet people, help and be helped, learn about not the life but the reasons people are drawn to this lifestyle.

Why did I join:
Well I've been reading the stories here, on and off, for 3-4 years and get a lot of pleasure out of it. Now I'm single I fancy getting more in to the lifestyle/learning more about BDSM. I'm a bit shy which originally discouraged me from joining, plus what my vanilla GF would think, but now I figured - this is something I'm interested in, why not join?

Reading has also inspired me to think about writing a story myself, to put something back into the site which I have gotten a lot from.

What keeps me coming back:
Well I've only been registered a few days so time will tell if I keep posting. My hope is to meet new people and learn from them. Up til now though I come back for the stories - they are definitly the best on the web and the interface is userfriendly unlike other sites.

i joined on the reommendation of some friends from another forum. i mostly read (the forum and sometimes the stories) and sometimes post. the first post i read when i looked this up was "having children" by TomOfSweden". when i read the reponses, i knew this was a good place, one that i cud relate to. it was like i saw all parts of my life fitting into a whole right in front of me.... in the lives of all those people who had posted their replies....
