That was my moment of consciousness returning. There was no slow, gradual climb, but rather a surge of power, somehow, to bring me back.Originally Posted by Jadetiger
"Dee!, STOP AT ONCE!" I shouted, and the door remained locked. The woman he found on the doorstep turned and faced me with eyes filled with hatred, an expression on her face that would curdle milk.
Managing to get to my feet, I realized that my physical body was well and better than well; I felt an energy running through me unknown to me before.
"Put her back on the table and bind her well, Dee. A, assist her."
The two medicos did the best they could, though it was indeed like holding a tiger and tying one to a post. I lept on her body, forcing her legs still widely apart, and holding her arms down. Then my servants could bind her quickly. Rolling off, I saw a look in her eyes that gave me the merest glance inside her soul; and I nearly vomited at the sight.
Standing up straight and taking a glass of water to clear the cobwebs in it, I heard deep in my head the sound of laughter, and the feelings of two women and a man. Two other women were laughing a familiar laugh; tickling or such. One of the women was Ruby; I had tasted that mind before as we had enjoyed each other's company. The other two seemed protected somehow, though not tightly enough that I could not see: these were the two new vampires, Elizabeth and, and what? Named after a Cosmonaut... YURI! That was it. Yuri.
I turned to my assistants. "A; I wish you to fetch a hanging cage from storage; the ones which can encase an entire woman and hang her from the rafters. Take a cart, and quietly bring it to the dungeon, just outside the front door. Move!' She sprang to her feet and left.
"And Dee, dear lady, you did well controlling this whatever-she-may-be. I feel inside her with strong and new feelings; there is evil there, hatred and deceit. I fear she has somehow worked her way into the dungeon for hidden evil purposes. Cut and remove her gown and whatever else she may be hiding or wearing, and place it on the desk here. I would examine it. I see her shoulder bag still outside on the stoop, I'll fetch it quickly."
With that, I ran and returned with the bag. Fortunately I moved quickly, for loving and trusting Dee had gotten herself into a dangerous place, and was about to be attacked. I reached through one of the new senses I perceived, and pinned her hands to the table with imaginary hands as Dee completed her work. I advised Dee to bind her hands as well, in cold iron.
I dumped her shoulder bag on the desk, and searched the contents. No money. No car keys. No driver's license, charge cards, nothing. Not even a library card. No hint of what or who she might be. She was fighting against the bindings now, and would have succeeded against all but cold iron.
"Dee, please fetch Lord Moebus. He should meet our new guest."
As Dee left the front door, she paused and held it open for A to roll in the woman cage. Rolling it near to the table, we undid the table bonds as we both raised her to put her in the cage. Clasping her feet into the cold iron brackets, then her waist, then arms and wrists. Finally closing the front. We took her out into the main dungeon and hung her off the floor, as in one of the old dungeon pictures from days past. I dismissed A.
"Now, mystery woman, why have you invaded us? Whay is your heart full of evil? And why do I feel as though I've receeded 700 years to the personna of a feudal lord, guarding the castle keep?"
She chose to stand mute, but none-the-less spat upon me. Such behavior was not to be tolerated in this dungeon! I fetched a flogger and rained 20 blows on her back and bottom. Perhaps now she could behave in a civilized manner!
"I have enquired nicely as to why you have come here; you, in return, were rude. Do you feel the need to be rude again, or would you care to speak your mind at this time?" Again she stood mute.
Dee would soon be coming with Mobius, so I contacted Elizabeth and Ruby (by mind, somehow!) and requested their presence. Somehow I knew they would be involved.
Catching sight of Docilia and SlaveSmada peering out from the shadows, I ordered them to bring up two chairs, for Mobius and myself, and to fetch wine and cheeses. They scampered off to retrieve the comestibles, and I settled down to get a better idea of what is was we were dealing with here; who she was, how I had been 'injured', why my abilities had grown so.
"It should be an interesting night," I muttered to myself, hoping the two slaves were fleet of foot fetching our snacks.
