Yeah, a girdle works for the hip pudge (i.e. the stuff under the navel) but doesn't do a whole lot for the spare tire around the waist!

Which is why I'm looking for something that will pull everything from the hips to just below the breasts in. I've tried wrapping an ace bandage around my middle, and it didn't help. I still bulged out.

I'm no corsetiere( alas) but I'd reckon that corsets of that length probably need a degree of fitting? I'd be surprised if you could just pull one off the shelf, and that would mean splashing out. But hey, you'd have a corset

and they look pretty hard-wearing. I've bought shorter corsets before for girlfriends, low/mid-price and although they looked good they didn't have the build quality for any really tight lacing.

There is an other type called a body sintcher, and like the tite states try fredricks. Or Sears.

Ok, girdle was the wrong choice of words (almost always!

)...but Penney's does carry stuff that goes from your breasts down to above your knees and everything in between. Just checked out their website and they call it "Shapewear".
