I'm Bliss. I chose that name not because I am always happy, but because I find my bliss when I'm in situations where I can be my natural submissive self.

I am 38 and married. Unfortunately, my husband has no interest in D/s, despite my many, many attempts to get him interested and his attempts to try to be interested. Fortunately, he is perfectly fine and actually relieved by our agreement that I can go outside our relationship to meet this need. Meanwhile, I tend to be the dominant one in our relationship...because well, someone has to do it. My husband actually seems to enjoy things this way. But perhaps you can imagine how cranky I am on a regular basis. However, I do love my husband and family dearly.

I often feel intensely frustrated without a Dominant influence in my life. I did develop a r/t friendship with a man who was into bdsm and gave me some of what I was looking for, though not quite there. It was still extremely nice to relax into my submissiveness to some degree. I was less cranky. But the fit was not quite right.

It occurred to me that it would be great to find a forum where I could interact with Dominants and other submissives to learn/share/support/make friends. Right now, I must deal with being a submissive without a Dominant, but I think being a part of a forum such as this, where I can be open about my submissiveness, will help me greatly.

I look forward to getting to know people here and learning lots.

and i know how you feel! i'm dealing with almost the same situation you are. my husband is vanilla but also doesnt want me going outside the relationship. luckily recently things have changed.
