Well, I hate to be nice, but I have seen long time authors who don't write as well as you do. The trick, once you have your sea legs, and if you are not technically proficient, is to get someone to edit for you. They can get all those technical fuck ups. I am one of those who should get someone to edit for me. I am not that technically sound. That' part of the reason I let others hammer on technical stuff.
Finally, technical proficiency is important, but it does not tell a story. You can overcome a lot of technical gaffes by being a good story teller. You are a good story teller - you just need refinement. We all do, no matter how refined we get.
