So far, my experience with those interested in bdsm are highly intelligent and well-spoken individuals. I also find many excellent writers among the bdsm crowd. I think you might be onto something with the fact that bdsm has more of a mental element to it than pure physical sex.
Playful, I agree with you 100%! IQ tests alone are not accurate. IMO, written tests cannot possibly indicate one's true capacity to learn. There are those in my profession that would disagree, but they would be wrong. LOL

I, too, have come across several individuals in this lifestyle that are extremely articulate and well-versed in not only BDSM, but many other subjects as well.

I would agree with cadence that imaginative and artistic are those that have an inclination for BDSM rather than intelligent.
no I am not gonna answer the poll.
Imagination, creativity, and artistic abilities are intelligences that cannot be measured with a written test, but do indeed account for an intelligent person. Anyone can read books and commit words to memory. It's the application that is difficult. That requires an imaginative and creative brain. Applying that knowledge into life takes wisdom. (For everything else, there's MasterCard. LOL)
