Something funny happend today.

My master and I were talking about the new rod thing and whether it hurts more or less than the old rod thing. I thought that the new rod hurts more. He thought, from tests he did on his palm and arm, that the old rod hurts more.
“The new one defiantly hurts more,” I said, “I mean, of the two of us, I should know.”
“No,” he said, hitting his palm with the new rod, “That definitely hurts less.” Then his face screwed up and he shook his hand, “Okay, maybe that hurt more.”
“Ha, see, told you.”
“Hmm, there’s only one way to figure this out, go get your blind fold.”
Oh nos, I thought, what have I gotten myself into?
So we did a blind test. He hit me with what he deemed equal force with each rod, not telling me which he was using, and I told him how much it hurt on a scale of 1 to 10. We did two sets of 15 hits. Does that make two trials or 30 trials? Or 15 trials, 15 matched sets? Stat nerds, help me out. The results suggest he is right, the old rod hurts more. He felt very triumphant (also horny, yay).
But, if you ask me, we need a double blind study. His bias could have influenced the results because he was determining how hard he was hitting me.
