I only got 72. I did do better than most of my age group, which isn't saying much.

75 but thought I had done much better. I think that teacher at the chalk board who must have done the scoring didn't like me.

Didn't want to put in my e-mail address, but (grammar teacher coming out of hiding again) I thought it was a pretty easy test, except for a few questions on the last page. I may have missed a few, but I think I got most of them right.

I don't remember what I got though, 75 or 72. Terrible. Master did better than me and english isn't even his first language!

Well, hot damn it! I would have taken a whole lot more care doing the freakin' test if I'd realised every bugger on the net was going to see my lousy score ...even if it wouldn't have made much difference.

Interesting, I will just have to go and check out if I can find one for german, too. When I made my final exam (Abitur/highest school qualification in Germany) two years ago, I was really upset about the spelling problems of my schoolmates...it seems to me, that correct spelling is an abillity that is incresingly lost. Everywhere are mistakes, be it in the newspaper, in books (that should normally be checked about a hundred times before they get printed *sigh*) or (worst) in advertisements. I guess that is one of the effects of TV or rather of the reduced interest for books that comes with TV.

I for my part made a score of 86, which is reputedly better that 99% of my age and gender. I guess that is allright for a non-native speaker.

I got an 86, but I always get "who/whom" confused because I was off sick the day we did that at school.

And chattel, I saw your score... umm. I won't post it, but you post nice, clear notes on the forum, and THAT'S the definition of language - being understood, not necessarily being right.

I got an 82. Pretty happy with that given its been a long time since I did any formal study.

I tried taking the test but after I was done they made me fill out a bunch of stuff and still wouldn't let me see what I scored due to "technical difficulties".

Any I missed were most likely the spelling ones, I think I handled the grammar well enough.
