Recommend Ropes in UK

Hi folks, been using some ropes and they are soft and very good but am looking to mstep up. Any suggestions of ropes, where to get them from and what they are best used for?

Lots of good info, and a great starting point.

Also see about a 'Tac Shop' or place where you can buy things for a farm for horses and such. Lots of good pervertibles in there.

Thanks ID. Read the thread you attached and you are right a good starting point. I have some soft cotton rope that I have been using, fairly small core, but as I am used to climbing ropes I was hoping for something a little more substatial. Mostly I want the knots to look better and for the whole look to be more defined.
I was hoping to find a good online supplier if anyone has used someone and found theie service good let me know.
