I don't think I have posted this here. I wrote this to answer a lady that decided that a Dom must be a control freak.

Control Freak or Dominant

I have been both and each is very different.

A control freak wants to be in charge of you at all times, no item is too small for him, to ignore no detail. He inspects and almost never likes what he finds.

A Dominant differs in that he sets what is important to him and to the relationship. He is a friend that you can share joys, problems with and who will ask for your advice before making a decision.

A control freak is normally upset because you didn’t do things right which means that no matter how detailed his instructions are there is always more left unspoken. This puts you in the unenviable position of never being good enough.

A Dominant takes responsibility for his own actions or lack thereof. Normally a laidback person that is looking to help you grow and wants you to feel good about yourself, knowing that growth takes errors and failures.

A control freak rarely thinks he makes mistakes it is always someone else that caused the problem.

A Dominant has to be in control of themselves first so has a tendency to look first at his own shortcomings before looking to blame others.

A control freak is often disgusted with your effort or in the way causing you to be fearful that you will fail again.

A Dominant is a teacher, looking to help and instruct at the same time. A good teacher also give you space and confidence to try it on your own, then may make suggestion on how it might be done even better then you did but lets you know that the effort is what counted.

A control freak rarely has time to enjoy you, spend some time with just you relaxing and loving.

A Dominant loves the idea of time with his lady, a chance to laugh and enjoy or a chance to take her out and show her off, let the world see his pride in her.

A Dominant is mannerly, the first person you want to run to when your world is falling apart, a strong shoulder to cry on, a confidant, etc. He has your best interest at heart even over his own. He respects his lady, honors her, and has great pride in her. Most women never get to experience that for extended periods of time. He also expects the same in return.

A control freak wants life done his way.

A Dominant negotiate how life will be for the 2 of you, but then expects you to do your best, as he will, to live up to the agreement.

I have had notions of this.. I for sure can't be perfect. wouldn't want to be.. and the other two aren't important.

I have been asked about how Clips Clamps and Pins or as the brits call them Pegs can bring pleasure. First let me say that alone these bring pain but if your Dom spends the time to get you started with pleasure then the experience with them can become pleasure. It is the physical sensors that experience both but the body can’t have both at the same time.

In other words when it is done cold be it flogging or pegs the pain is what she will feel, that will make it that much harder to bring her pleasure. Of course if you are wanting for her to show you how much pain she can take to prove love or devotion to you then this is the right way to go. I am not that type, not to say that during training that I won’t use a crop or paddle to show her what real punishment can be about but pain is not my thing.

I would love to explain in more technical manner why when pain is administered correctly that she will feel a deeper sense of pleasure then ever before but I can’t. I just know from experience that once she has experienced nipple clips or pegs in a way to cause growing pleasure the next time she will not need to be as excited when you apply them. This will continue to a point that sex without them becomes almost like vanilla sex.

Also when applied to the labia lips the same effect happens driving the sub deep into subspace, my never never land, to a place where it is warm colorful and filled with joy. Sadly I doubt that I could ever be anything more then a guide to this state but damn I love the trip.

A quick word to the new subs, rmember that part of our Life is to face fears, be careful when saying something is a hard limit that it isn't something you fear that your Dom could help you with.

I find that most subs do just that and then are amazed when I gentle lead them to it and hopefully past it. If it is a real limit the Dom will know that without pushing you past it and into a traumatic event.

You seem to have an electrical motif going here. Interesting - well, except for the light bulb - I like some marks but burns just HURT (and not in a good way!) The tear off pants seem like they'd be handy to have : ) I'm not sure about the mouth holder-open-thingies (if they have a name I have no clue as to what it might be, but you know what I mean) it just seems too reminiscent of the dentist's rubber dam - and I don't know anybody who enjoys those. Anyway, that's just my take on it and I know that I'm quite the novice at all this. I'd be interested in other people's take on it.

I dunno, SBBE (if I may use your nickname) I appreciate the advice, but I don't know if the extra salivation will really help with those bloody rubber dams. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I broke my schozz as a kid and I need a lot more pleasant incentive to keep my mouth open for any length of time than those hooky looking things.

thank you both and it is always good to have an orchid in my hot house.

Each day I thank the fates for allowing me to be amazed by life around me. Even the world beaten amaze me, take the homeless man that spends all day outside of a small mexican restaurant and oriental grocery story. He normally semi lays on the concrete but a few weeks ago some gave him a brand new white carcoat with a fur lining and he stood rather then get it dirty. Funny what pride of ownership can do to you. I wrote an post for another site that is a vanilla one, a friend of the owner is a close friend and asked would I do that for him. It is just in the first write stage and I am sharing it here for feedback and such.



The Life I love is very large with no one being an expert. I can only talk about the way I both see the Life and live it.

The Life isn’t for everyone, but surprisingly it does seem that a very large following both secretly and those who are out in the open about it. I fall into the latter group. It is about, again in my opinion, respect, honor and pride. When I say that I am a Dom it is about who I am, I have this part of me that won’t allow me to be a lesser man. By that I mean I am honest, I respect people till a person proves that they aren’t worth my respect.

I love having a lovely woman restrained, it shows that I have earned her trust since she is at my mercy, and then seeing how much pleasure I can bring her, how often I can make her cum. The heart of it for me is that she knows that I care for her enough that I will not harm her. It is quite a rush, for her she is giving up control and finding freedom in that act.

So many think that a dominant means domineering but it actual is very different. I have to listen to, study, watch and learn so much about her. My focus has to be on her totally since even my type of play can create mental conditions that must be dealt with so that no harm is done to her mentally or physically. It is what most women want to be the center of his attention, knowing that he wants to bring her joy.

There are those in the Life that are there because they either enjoy pain for pain sake, either causing it or experiencing it. I am not one of those, I have learned that something that might appear to be painful can actually add to the pleasure she experiences. I am also not a Doctor so the why of that I can’t answer, I just know what over many years I have learned. The trick is to know the submissive and what she finds exciting, for some it is humiliation, others it is a certain amount of pain, then there are those that don’t want any pain until they are excited and then their body will take pain and feel it as pleasure. The same sensors work for both pain and pleasure. Once you get to the point that the endorphins are flowing a slap on the ass instead of stinging is warm and wonderful.

I speak of looking for my one, when I find her I intend to make her life as full of joy as I can. If she is excited by anything that I can stomach then I will do that for her. I will help her grow into the woman she wants to be, guide her and protect her. That too is not how the uninformed see us, they see the Dom as this do it my way person. Hard and rigid, uncaring and strict but most actual Doms are pretty laid back people the ones that when things are going very badly are cool and in control of themselves.
