Depending on the colour of the wax...depends on the melting point. same goes for frangranced wax as well. These kind of candles are designed to burn at a higher melting point because they are purely designed for warm room temperatures. The higher the melting point the longer the candle will last...and the less melted wax you have. All the extra ingredients that go into coloured candles stops the actual wax from being pure.

Also you can determine how much pain you wish to endure by determing the height of the candle above where you want it to drip...the higher up you ahve it the cooler it is.....the closer it is to the body the hotter it will be.

I have always found beeswax is best for play. Melts at a much lower temperature and a lot hotter to the skin.

But as in all play whether it be wax...edge or fire play...you must take precautions.
