The Wizard of Ahhhhhhhs
Chief Magistrate - Emerald City

"Do you know, ultimately," I asked, "who will prove to be your one best trainer?" "No, Master," she said. "You, yourself," I said, "the girl, herself, eager to please, imaginative and intelligent, monitoring her own performances and feelings, striving lovingly to improve and refine them. You yourself will be largely responsible for making yourself the superb slave you will become."

Sooner or later every subculture or niche hobby gets around to deciding that its members must be smarter or cooler than everyone else. I don't buy it.
I'm not even angry, I'm being so sincere right now
Even though you broke my heart, and killed me
And tore me to pieces
And threw every piece into a fire
As they burned, it hurt because
I was so happy for you!
Can't we just establish that we are smarter, better and cooler than all the rest?I agree that IQ tests are a insufficient means to measure ones intelligence...especially as there are so many different types of intelligence that those tests completely ignore (emotional or social intelligence, for example). It strikes me, however, that BDSM people seem to be rather well educated, smart and in general thinking and reflecting a lot...I do believe that there is some kind of connection between intelligence (in its widest sense) and an inclination towards BDSM...but that might just be my vanity
