    Do you goo?

Talking with someone recently about “lovey dovey” chit chat, I started calling it goo. This reminded me of something a friend of mine said to me recently about her Dom. At random times when she is quiet, he will turn to her and ask her what she is thinking. Sweet, right? I thought so too. To me, this is another example of goo.

Willful, skeptical, and questioning girl that I am, I know that without some gooey talk, I’m probably less likely to be submissive. My insides need to be turned to mush first. Mush is only achieved through means of goo.

Do you need goo too? Do you do goo? Can you offer your submission or dominance without some gooey talk?

(I have no idea why this is so Seussical!)

My husband and I goo (btw, love the terminology here!) to each other all the time. We have a special "Engrish" that we speak when we talk to each other. For example, we say "herro" instead of "hello," and we take "nappy-naps," eat "runchy-runch," and play with the "kitter-witters," rather than take naps, eat lunch, and play with the cats. Yeah, it's disgustingly silly.

However, I read a statistic recently that said that couples who baby-talk in some form to each other generally have stronger communication skills, have a closer relationship, and are 80% less likely to get a divorce than couples who don't. I'll see if I can find the link to the article and post it here.

As for the rest of your question, our "goo" is pretty important to us, and I know personally that if he stopped speaking to me in our little language, I would feel like I was missing out on something very important or that he was pushing me away. However, I don't find it neccessary to prelude a scene with goo of any sort before I'm ready to sub or dom (I'm a switch). Interesting topic!

Well for me it shows just who is close to me and who isn't.......on several levels

The public Thrall......the "on" Thrall can not "goo"......that is the world at arms length.

In private.......sometimes its almost as if we speak a different language......a private language......something more personal.

And here is the thing..........do you feel comfortable speaking goo it in front of others?? People who are just friends and not your SO. If i am willing to speak goo in front of someone......then i know that that person truly knows me. And crazy as it sounds........they start to understand......LOL

The ability to.......(play)........is something very special. Something I think most of us loose as adults......

We used to do it more...but stress and school *we are both going back to school* and her working nights has really killed a lot of goo lately.

i love it when my Master asks me how i am feeling or what i am thinking. To me it shows that He genuinely cares about my well-being. It makes me feel all warm and well...gooey inside. lol. Just as He enjoys the sweet things i say to Him. It is an intrical part of O/our relationship. i for one definitely enjoy submitting more after. *giggles*

We call it coo. My Man loves it when i coo at Him. If i'm not cooing, He thinks something is wrong. He coos at me too. We call each other pet names & we act silly. If He was rough & gruff all the time, i dont think i would have discovered my submissiveness. In the past when a man is "the man" toward me, i tend to dig my heels in. With Him, His kindness & gentleness & even silliness allows me to relax & just have fun with Him & what do you know, i'm submissive.

Oh yes, I love the goo too!

I love it when WB talks goo to me, especially when I am doing something challenging. It seems to give me the encouragement to go on and give him even more.

I also love that it comes so naturally for us to use terms of endearment with each other. He may be my Dom, but this reminds me he is also my love and my friend.
    Learning more each day!

So very happy to be loved by Warbaby. ~

That is so sweet! I smiled as I read this, and just knew you had a smile on your face when you posted it!

And, you give him more because you know he wants it and cares for you by the way he goos to you!

I am not sure that I talk goo, I have many pet names that I use with great affection and then I also use praise of her based in actual fact.

I have found that praise is a coin that is little used in life and since it is rare carries the most value.

Oooooh I am so very ewwwwy goooey!

Go figure! Anyone who has every chatted with me probably has picked this up... Just as I talk in IM I talk in real lfie as well...

There are some words in which must be said twice and in a baby voice.. like..

Tummy Tummy... Bunny Bunny.. Fishey Fishey.. Kitty Kitty....

Hubby and I are very playful.. and yes even so in public or around friends.. but we contain it a bit as not to gross anyone out.

We give each other lil kissey pecks all day long.... We randomly check up on eachother when in differnt rooms just to give hugs and loves.

We baby talk... I call him daddy and he calls me mamma when we are talking to the kitty kitty.

When discussing bodily functions there are fluffs and poos! lol!

There are many little things that only we can understand.... and I love it.

I can't just call him baby... its baaaaayyyyybeeeeeeeeeeeeee! yes squeel and all.

but it works for us..... he did not start out like this so much.. but I think he reallllllly loves it now.. cause he does it just as much as me!
My hands are searching for you My arms are outstretched towards you
I feel you on my fingertips My tongue dances behind my lips for you
I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling
    Savoring this heart that's healing
My hands float up above me And you whisper you love me And I begin to fade Into our secret place

Yes we goo but it isn't something I would want right before play. That is not the mindset I want to be in it is something totally different. When we snuggle on the couch at night we goo. I actually think I pur when he pets my head lol. It is one of my most favorite things ever lol. I need this connection to submit to him I do agree with that without this type of bonding I would not want to submit. I just don't want the two mixed. When we go to play I want him to be demanding, and take what he wants (most of the time lol) then after we can revert back to the goo.

Sir Russell, by my definition, you do goo! I don't consider it goo unless it is honest.

Your last statement is wise beyond compare. That can relate to a plethora of subjects. Thank you!

yes - I goo too - lol - as the others have said - above - it draws us closer - something special. I don't goo when we're involved in S&M activities - but it comes out in gushes of goo in the after-care...and when we're not playing rough. We don't have a secret vocabulary - not really - but there are words that are only for my girl (and vice versa).

Interesting statistic about gooey relationships being stronger than non-gooey ones - guess (in part) you need some goo to stick together - lol - I know - bad pun

I wouldnt call it goo LOL

I am very affectionate toward S1 and he relishes in the affection and attention I give him.
I will curl up on the sofa with either my head in his lap or lean against him with his arms keeping me close. I always sit on the left side of him as well. In bed I have my "special" spot...again left side.
Everything I do is done with love and affection and everyday I make him prouder.
