Oh, just one more thought...

I think that this has kept a sort of balance in the relationship which has been stimulating for us and kept us together - not a one sided approach.

This was what I was not sure quite fitted in with BDSM.
I don't think BDSM relationships are ever one sided - to me it's always a give and take.
