Growing up with the background you described, Mariko, it might very well be the case. If not physically, it could be a psychological mindset that makes you endure this longer just because you think it's 'your place' and what is expected of you being a woman. I think with growing up in Europe and Germany specifically, I'm a lot more 'selfish' (I also have my problems expressing myself in English, but I hope you get the messageand for Silke I also wonder if there are thing in Japanese tradition which not in favour multi racial but has tradition make woman take sex from many men if ordered.). For me it's a huge step to embrace my submissiveness and to go out of my way for my Master...to me it makes it an even bigger gift as it goes contrary to common beliefs and sometimes - even against my own. Hmm...food for thought.
It's so very interesting to get a little background in Japanese history and thinking. I must admit, I don't know a lot of it - for example that Japan used to have a system based on matriarchy was completely new to me. I'm looking forward to picking up more of the subtle and not-so-subtle differences in thinking as you continue to share your journey.
Can't wait to see the next set of photos (they haven't been approved yet *sighs*)...I'll comment some more then. Thanks again for sharing, Mariko and Manshimajin.
