So it turns out he was freaked out because he assumed that my interest in BDSM lay in the more hardcore, scarier aspects of it...and this upset him because he likes me but didn't think he'd be able to live up to that sort of thing...and...turns out we have similar BDSM-related interests, and seeing as I'm kinda into him too, we're going out on a date soon.
