"The Wonderful Brassier" has to be one of my all time favorite stories. Pamela's idea of having our beautiful sweet Sarah humiliated, shamed and tortured right in front of the eyes of her entire social circle. Without any of them being aware of her torment (except for her sadistic father and his friends) is brilliant. Just as quotes by Meyer's "Edward Cullen" have become a part of our culture, quotes by Pamela's "John" such as "It's lovely to have you in my arms, squirming with pain," And "It's nice that your hurting, Sarah. It's good to see you suffer," are destined to become a part of our culture as well. The shortness of the story at first is startling, until you understand Pamela's genius, and that she is gently torturing each of us, just as John gently tortured Sarah. As her readers plead "Please don't stop! Please don't stop NOW." ("There is some sadism and some masochism in EVERY normal human." Freud) Meanwhile our naughty Pamela is walking away from her "word processor" leaving us aroused but not quite fulfilled...... (You stinker Pam!!!) Can't wait to read your next story. Job well done ..Well done indeed. (10/10)

Superb! I've always been a fan of most of your stories.
My only lament is that the story was too short. I eagerly look forward to further chapters.

An intriguing story, well told by an author who is obviously a skilled writer. The reader might wish Pamela had detailed Sarah's suffering more subjectively but the lack of it and Sarah's total submission only enhances the piquancy of her story. Left unexplored is the relationship between Sarah and her father. (10/10)

Though rather short, the story really shows how skilled an author Pamela is. Just two simple sentences: "No, I don't," Sarah said simply and "The girl hung her head. 'I'm sorry,' she whispered" communicate the pain and the nc content so powerfully! How we wish we could read more about Hirsch's punishments of Sarah and her times with Bradley. More graphic details, (like Two for Torment), please!

Enjoyed it, although perhaps not as much as other reviewers. Perhaps its brevity worked against it. Nonetheless it's great to have writers of Pamela's calibre on this site. Still, my personal reaction is a 7 (Good, worth reading) for this story. (7/10)

This is a marvelous vignette which I recognized within a paragraph or two as being a chapter (with the characters' names changed and perhaps some other minor revisions) from perhaps the best paperback BDSM novel I have ever read. The version I read (maybe ten or twelve years ago) was entitled "Girl Tamers" if I recall correctly; it was about two men (one of whom was a Chinese-American) who torture a series of beautiful women in order to 'train' them to submit to the sadistic desires of their husbands or lovers.
I have praised "Pamela's" work highly here before and thought that "her" stories posted here were stylistically very similar to "Girl Tamers". In the original the daughter who is made to wear the brassiere was a beautiful Chinese girl -- she was one of the finest erotic creations of my experience.
Perhaps copyright concerns required the minor changes -- and prevent the publication of the entire original story (although I have seen other paperbacks from that era on the web). Actually I liked the story better with the voluptuous Chinese girl, personally, thus only a '9'.
But I will repeat again -- the stories posted here by "Pamela", are, to my taste, the finest body of work by any BDSM writer I know.
Perhaps if someone asks "Pamela" nicely "she" will post the wonderful chapter in which the Chinese father comes home after a hard day of torture to find his beautiful daughter kneeling just inside the threshhold as she dutifully does every evening, waiting for his arrival.

I must confess that I borrowed (OK, stole ;-) ) that delicious image and used it in one of the early chapters of my own JP II.
In fact it's not impossible that that Chinese villain and his delicious daughter were (subconsciously) part of the reason I chose to set my first few stories in China. (9/10)

- To my surprise, you are not the only reader who has recognized this story and remembered "Girl Tamers." The fact is that GT was a kind of hybrid, lumping together an unfinished story (about the Chinese gentleman and his partner in torture) and some portions of an older, unpublished book I had written called "Bound to Scream." The chapter about the brassiere was actually from the earlier novel, and the version I have posted here is the original version--I orientalized the girl and her father to fit the later story. (Sorry about that, since you like the Chinese version better).
Incidentally, I also used a scene from Girl Tamers/Bound to Scream in my story Cindy & Company, posted here, and somebody spotted that too. It's amazing to me--though gratifying of course-- that that old obscure book is still remembered by anybody. Strangely enough, I have never even seen a copy of the published book. I understand it was printed twice, and that the second version was incomplete. If anyone knows how I can obtain a copy I'd be grateful.
I hadn't actually considered posting other parts of GT here, but now perhaps I will. Though it would evidently be wise to post a notice of their provenance as well.
And I must, however belatedly, thank you for your very kind words about my stories, both here and elsewhere. Please keep it up!
