Should I rate part two in the "Day And Knight" saga solely based on the sex-scenes, I would have to go a tad berzerk, since we're talking mushroom-clouds here.
But once the fall-out has died down, I must agree with Mad Lews down below, about the story stagnating somewhat in that it doesn't seem to know which direction to take. Which makes that Lews isn't as Mad as he's letting us want to believe.
One thing I see has improved, is Chappelle's interweaving of dialogue and the musings/background info that goes with that dialogue. Much better this time.
Overall, I feel that Lewis Chappelle was (rightly so) infatuated with "Volume I" of this series, and instead of following his gut, he tried, first to be as good as the first time around, and secondly, at the same time was trying to please the crowd.
Which resulted in a slightly uneven balance.
But, like I said, the conversations were embedded much better this time, which then balances the unbalancedness a tad. If that makes sense.
Still, a wee bit crooked this story still is, balance-wise, but nicely done nevertheless.

A good story so far, long and detailed on description which is good, but sometimes it seems like the story itself is looking for a place to go. we await the third installment to see. (8/10)
